Privacy Notice

Home Ambient is a private, non-commercial home automation and music integration intended for personal household use.

Purpose

The integration uses Amazon account authorisation to connect Alexa devices to the household's Music Assistant service and enable music playback commands.

Information processed

To provide this functionality, the integration may process authorisation tokens, device identifiers, playback requests and playback information such as track titles and player status. Diagnostic logs may record technical requests and errors.

How information is used

Information is used to authenticate the connection, route playback commands, deliver audio and troubleshoot service issues. The integration does not sell personal information or use it for advertising.

Services and storage

The integration uses Amazon Alexa, Music Assistant and Cloudflare services. Requests may be transmitted through Cloudflare to privately operated services. Each external service has its own privacy terms. Operational data and logs may be retained according to the configuration of those services.

Access and control

The integration is intended only for the household owner and authorised users. Amazon authorisation may be revoked through the applicable Amazon account or Alexa settings. The owner can also disable the integration and remove its locally stored configuration.

Updates

This notice may be updated if the integration or its data handling changes. This is a personal project, not a public commercial service.
